The Double
Synopsis
The Double is an interactive immersive VR experience created by Blanca Li, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's tale The Shadow. Blending immersive theater, choreography, and interactive environments, it invites the audience into a dreamlike world where narrative unfolds through space, movement, and transformation rather than dialogue.
In Andersen's tale, a learned man unknowingly grants his shadow autonomy; over time it escapes, explores the world, grows stronger, and eventually replaces him. The experience reimagines this journey as a non-linear exploration of multiple perspectives.
