My Time Machine

Synopsis
Adam is a young boy with Asperger's syndrome growing up in the aftermath of World War I. Inspired by H. G. Wells' The Time Machine, he dreams of traveling to the future and isolates himself in an old silo to build a time machine.
Years later, he finally completes it, but it explodes upon activation. As Adam leaves the silo, he discovers a mud wall bearing a message carved by his mother. Stepping outside, he is astonished by the sight of cars, airplanes, and skyscrapers. Has he simply reached the future through the passage of time, or has he truly traveled through time and space?

Lee Chun-i is a creator, researcher, and educator. He is Professor and Chair of the Department of Multimedia and Animation Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts and directs the Experimental Game Lab. A former visiting scholar at Georgia Tech, his work Eleanor of Ayer won the Best AR Experience award at Vision Summit VR/AR and was nominated for IndieCade.
