Synopsis

Armenia, 2000.Amid political turmoil, 12-year-old Amalia balances childhood dreams with adult responsibilities while her overworked mother runs a family errand.After a bitter fight, Amalia and her younger brother Narek share an unexpected secret, transforming sibling rivalry into a fleeting moment of warmth and family connection.

Ophelia HARUTYUNYAN is a US-based Armenian filmmaker whose fiction and documentary work has screened at Venice, SXSW, TIFF, and Tribeca.
Her films explore women navigating patriarchal society.
She is a Columbia University Film MFA graduate and Berlinale Talents alumna.
