Synopsis
The Washingtonia is the only palm tree whose heart is not devoured by the red beetle, because its heart is small and dry—and no one likes small, dry hearts.

Konstantina KOTZAMANI
Konstantina KOTZAMANI is a Greek filmmaker. Her short and medium-length films have premiered in major festivals such as Berlinale (Washingtonia, 2014), Locarno (Yellow Fieber, 2015), International Critics’ Week (Limbo, 2016), Mostra de Venise (Electric Swan, 2019) and Locarno (What Mary Didn’t Know, 2024). They have received numerous international awards. Her debut feature Titanic Ocean was presented in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
