Kaohsiung Film Festival 2026 Call for Feature-Length Films (Non-Competition)
Submissions Open for the 2026 Kaohsiung Film Festival!
The 2026 Kaohsiung Film Festival, taking place from October 9 to October 26, is now officially open for non-competition feature film submissions. We warmly welcome filmmakers from around the world to submit their works.
KFF currently presents Short Film and VR Competitions. Feature-length films are programmed in several regular non-competitive sections such as Annual Theme, Panorama, Classics Only in Cinema, Boys in Love, and Transforming Japan. In addition, the festival features a few special program sections each year to highlight new perspectives and discoveries.
This year, we are seeking narrative feature films completed after January 1, 2025, with a running time of 70 minutes or longer, and that have not previously premiered in Taiwan.
We particularly welcome films with the following qualities:
- Themes of revenge, comeback, or rebirth.
- Strong dramatic twists and unpredictable endings.
- Charismatic performances, visually captivating imagery, and stories with broad emotional appeal.
- Beyond the above, works are distinguished by imaginative storytelling and striking visual style.
Please note that the feature film section is non-competitive, and selected features will be presented for screening.
