PURCHASING TICKETS

In Person

1. Pre-Festival Period｜09.21 SUN.12:00 —10.09 THU.

• Newwei Arts Center｜From 30 minutes prior to the venue’s first screening of the day until 10 minutes after the start of its last screening (closed Mondays).

Points Offset Discounts
1. Culture Points and OPENTIX points may only be used for online ticket purchases.
2. Culture Points and OPENTIX points may be used at the same time. If the purchase allows the use of Culture Points, please use Culture Points first before OPENTIX points.
3. When refunding a ticket purchase that used Culture Points and/or OPENTIX points, the system will first return the Culture Points used in full, then deduct the refund handling fee, then refund the OPENTIX points used, before refunding the remaining balance.
4 .When refunding a ticket purchase (including for cancellations or changes), if the Culture Points or OPENTIX points used in the purchase have since expired, the points cannot be refunded and the expiry date cannot be extended.

PURCHASING TICKET PACKAGES

Applies to KFF Film Buff Package, XR VIP Pass, and XR Package.

1. Purchase Process

OPENTIX Website/App > Search for “XR VIP PASS” > Click on “XR VIP PASS” > Select quantity > Select “Add to Cart” or “Buy Now” > Proceed to checkout > Choose ticket collection and payment method > Tick “Sales Contract” (required) box > Complete payment > Go to “Ticket Box” > Click on purchased XR VIP Pass E-ticket > Click “Redeem” > Click “Confirm” to redeem 20 coupons.

※ Once redeemed, the ticket status will changed to “Used.” Please note that ticket packages cannot be refunded once redeemed for coupons.

2. Session Ticket Redemption

OPENTIX Website/App > Search for film title > Select film > Choose session/seat > Select “Add to Cart” or “Buy Now” > Click on “Cart” > Select “Use Coupon” > Select and tick “XR VIP Pass” > Click “Confirm” > Confirm checkout amount > Click “Proceed to Payment” > Choose ticket collection and payment method > Tick “Sales Contract” (required) box > Complete payment > the E-ticket or order (paper ticket) for the film will appear in the “Ticket Box”

※ The “Use Coupon” button will only appear if coupons can be used. The button will not appear if there are no coupons that can be used.

※ One coupon can be used to redeem one ticket.

TICKET COLLECTION
Please refer to the ticket collection instructions below in accordance with the collection method selected at checkout.

E-ticket

1. E-tickets may be accessed via the OPENTIX App or official website. After completing ticket purchase, the E-ticket will automatically appear in the “Ticket Box” (App: Located in the center at the bottom. Website: After logging in, click on the “Tickets” icon in the top right corner).

2. No ticket collection service fee will be charged.

Paper ticket

1. Please collect paper tickets prior to the screening. Ticket collection is not available at the Kaohsiung Film Archive, Neiwei Arts Center, VR Film Lab, or KFF ticket counters.

2. Service Locations

• No ticket collection service fee will be charged.
• To collect your tickets, please provide staff with your Membership No. (phone no.) and Ticket Collection Code, or your Membership No. (phone number) and the credit card used to make the purchase.

3. Convenience Stores

• Enter your Membership No. (phone no.) and Ticket Collection Code on the electronic kiosk machine. Print out the Ticket Collection Receipt and exchange it for your tickets at the counter within 10 minutes.
• A ticket collection fee of NT$10 will be charged per ticket (subject to change in accordance with convenient store policy).
• Convenience store collection is limited to 8 tickets per purchase order and cannot be split into separate collections. Please collect purchase orders in excess of 8 tickets from a Distribution Point.
• The ticket collection fee is not refundable in the event of screening.

REFUNDING / EXCHANGING TICKETS

1. Refund requests must be received at least 1 day before the scheduled session time. A processing fee of 10% of the face value of the ticket will be charged for each ticket. Refund requests received after the deadline will not be accepted.

2. Ticket packages can only be refunded if the entire package is returned; partial refunds are not accepted. The deadline for ticket package refunds is 10/25 (Sat).

3. For refunds of paper tickets, please visit a KFF service counter or an OPENTIX Service Center in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, or Kaohsiung. Refunds are not available at OPENTIX distribution points.

4. E-ticket(s) or uncollected paper ticket(s)

• Please use the OPENTIX online cancellation function. Access your order records in the member section and choose your purchase order. Click “Cancel order” and tick the session(s) you would like to cancel. For ticket packages or if the online cancellation function is unavailable, please visit the OPENTIX refund page (https://refund.opentix.life) and select option 1, and fill out the purchase order details to make a refund request.

         ※ The online cancellation function is unavailable daily from 23:30 to 00:00 for system settlement. Please be aware of the                 refund deadline and cancel in advance.

5. Paper ticket(s) already collected or paid with cash

• Over the counter: Please bring your ticket(s) to an OPENTIX Service Center in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, or Kaohsiung.
• On-site:

• Mail: Please mail the ticket(s) via registered post before the refund deadline (based on the postmark) to OPENTIX Refund Department, No, 21-1 Zhongshan S. Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City 10012. For cash purchases, please be sure to include a copy of your bank passbook and contact information for refund purposes.

     ※ Reminder: Please make a record of the ticket purchase order number (e.g., 202101220000123-1) in order to track your refund           status.

6. ATM transfer

• Your bank may charge a transfer fee for ATM transfer purchases. In the event of a ticket refund (including exchanges, replacements, cancellations, and changes to the programme), the transfer fee cannot be refunded.
• Collected paper ticket(s): Please visit an OPENTIX Service Center, or mail the ticket(s), a photocopy of your bank passbook, and contact information (name and phone no.) before the refund deadline (based on the postmark) to OPENTIX Refund Department, No, 21-1 Zhongshan S. Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City 10012.
• Please make a record of the ticket purchase order number (e.g., 202101220000123-1) in order to track your refund status.

7. Purchase orders paid by credit card will be refunded into the original credit card. Purchase orders paid with cash or ATM transfer will be refunded in cash.

8. Ticket “exchanges” are regarded as “refunds”. If you would like to change your session, please refer to the refund process set out below. Tickets marked as “non-refundable” cannot be refunded.

ADDITIONAL OPENTIX INFORMATION

1. Admission with valid ticket only. Tickets will NOT be reissued if lost or damaged.

2. If using an E-ticket, please ensure your phone has a working internet connection and sufficient battery. Activate the QR code for ticket validation and entry. Screenshots or images of the QR code taken from another device cannot be validated.

3. All concession ticket holders must present a valid ID at the venue. If no valid ID is presented, the concession ticket holder must pay the price difference between the concession ticket and the full priced ticket before entry is permitted.

4. For feature films, the OPENTIX website will stop selling tickets 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, and tickets can thereafter only be purchased at on-site service counters.

5. For feature films and short film programs, no ticket sales or entry will be permitted 20 minutes after the screening commences. For XR Dreamland sessions, no ticket sales or entry will be permitted 5 minutes after the screening commences. Please arrive on time, as refunds will not be granted for late arrivals.

6. Please follow the food and beverage rules of each venue while attending.

7. For safety and to ensure evacuation routes are clear inside the theater, please refrain from lingering, standing, or sitting in the aisles or other non-seating areas.

8. Please follow staff instructions for the best viewing experience. Thank you for your cooperation.

9. In the event of natural disasters or force majeure events, the Kaohsiung Film Festival may cancel screenings based on instructions given by the Kaohsiung City Government. Updates will be posted on our official website as soon as practicable.

10. Kaohsiung Film Festival reserves all rights to change the program due to unforeseen circumstances. Latest updates will be announced on our official website as soon as possible.

XR DREAMLAND VIEWING INFORMATION

1. As children’s eyes are still developing, G7+ rated XR DREAMLAND programs can only be viewed by children over 7 years of age and 130cm in height.

2. The program duration does not include pre-viewing instructions and equipment setup time. The experience time is approximately the length of the work plus 5-15 minutes. Please confirm relevant information or consult staff before purchasing tickets.

3. Please follow the staff instructions or the instruction video when putting on the device prior to viewing in order to avoid damaging the equipment. The viewing headsets are compatible with most glasses; contact lenses are also recommended.

4. To ensure the best viewing experience, some films do not have Chinese subtitles. The screening venue has English-Chinese dialogue translations available for reference.

5. Films may cause dizziness, nausea or other discomfort. Please assess your personal condition and health before deciding whether or not to view the film. If the Kaohsiung Film Festival has acted prudently and the viewer chooses to proceed at their own risk, the viewer shall be responsible for any resulting health consequences.

6. If you feel unwell during the viewing and cannot continue, please raise your hand to notify staff, who will help you remove the viewing device.
