A boat on a lake, in a certain part of Asia. A group of friends and family members gather together to perform a “soul scooping” ritual to pacify the soul of a drowned man. In this ritual, a shaman in trance channels the dead so that the deceased could say goodbye to their beloved for the last time. After the ritual, it’s believed that the purified soul would go back to where they belong. But not this time, as it is the beloved that kill the deceased. A possessed shaman breaks the routine and brings forth the truth behind the death.
